A simple and personal blog & CMS in Ruby on Rails
Sopar is a simple and personal blog and CMS application written in Ruby on Rails.
Sopar contains a simple built-in blog. Before you publish user submitted comments, you need to approve them using admin panel. Comments also could be enabled or disabled comments. If you have “recaptcha” keys from recapthca.net commments will be protected with captha agains spams.
Projects section allows you publish your works. There is also a section below the header showing your latest 3 projects. It’s optional to show your projects there and it can be disabled from admin panel. Users also could manually toggle latest projects section by clicking “+/-” links.
Pages section contains static pages such as “About” and “Contact”. Textile editor helper is used to help you create your page’s content easily using markdown.
Sidebar has 2 types of contents. First type is default content. It contains categories and latest articles. Second type of content is optional content. For example if you want to publish your Twitter updates, you define your twitter code in your preferences page. Some of these optional contents are external links, twitter updates, google adsense, delicious badge, working with rails recommendation link.
Sidebar also is extendible. You could put extra content by the help of “extra content” field in preferences page.
Sopar is Open Source, so you are free to use and distribute. If you want to to discover more of Sopar, I suggest you donwload and install it.
